Tuesday 26 February 2019

As part of our morning activities, students have been practising their skills in technology and mathematics.
Can you build a tower using 20 cups?
We are learning to tell a story through lego.
We have been reading the story 'Giraffes Can't Dance' by Giles Andreae. Gerald is the main character and he lives in the African jungle with his other animal friends.
Students created with lego the jungle home Gerald lives in.

We are learning to recognise number. In our Mathematics activities, we practised subitising, which is the ability to 'see' a small amount of objects and know how many there are without counting.

Discovering places in our school

Students have been learning to pose questions about places.

They investigated the places in the school and wrote inquiry questions about them.

Mr Kerrins came to visit our class to answer the questions and let them know the history of Mother Teresa school.
